What should I bring with me?

Simply pack a bag with your essential clothing, toiletries and any other items you may wish to bring to ensure your comfort. Don’t forget to pack any medications, devices or aids you may need, and of course, your pillow!

Can I bring my pet with me on my holiday?

This can be discussed upon booking, at Goonellabah we do have a resident Labradoodle named Daisy, who loves pats and laying out in the sun on the deck or in the garden.

Will there be a support worker with me the whole time?

We cater to your needs. If you require a Support Worker with you or nearby at all times, we can arrange that. If you’d prefer the Support Worker/s to be available to you should you need them, they can give you space.

What is the age of people staying?

We have people of all ages that come and stay with us at Just Like Home. Kids from 8 years to adults.

What if I want to do something that is not part of my normal routine?

It’s your experience, you get the final say in what you’d like to do. We can facilitate most activities, be it a meal at Eltham pub, a walk along Lennox beach or whale watching in Ballina, the only limit is your imagination.

And of course your confidentiality is paramount.

Do I need a service agreement?

Generally no, however it is recommended by the NDIA. STA service providers are not required to use written service agreements. Even if you have a service agreement, you can still receive supports even if you haven’t signed it. Find out more here.
