The NDIS doesn’t always make things easy to understand, and accessing funding for a stay with us (or any other short-term or respite* accommodation) may feel a bit confusing.
The NDIS does not have a specific item of respite* in plans. Funding for what was traditionally known as respite*, now known as ‘short-term accommodation’ can be spent from core supports. You can visit the NDIS price guide for more information — a description on page 24.
The current NDIS prescribed rate for support and accommodation for 24 hours stay with us starts at $1546.39 (code 01_058_0115_1_1), you can check this on page 6 of the NDIS Support Catalogue.
Check off the answers to the questions below to see if your funding package will cover the stay, and what to do next.

*Respite is defined as “a short period of rest or relief from something difficult or unpleasant”, and we don’t think that’s a nice way to talk about your loved one, so where possible we won’t use it!
